seven magic mountains

We just got back from checking out the seven magic mountains art installation.  SO COOL.  Maybe I am just easily entertained, but I loved this. So many talented people out there that are brave enough to share their talents. Artist Ugo Rondinone created these seven towers of colorful stacked boulders.  It really is so cool to see with the dry desert landscape.  The color really pops!  Go check out more at the Seven Magic Mountains website.  It will give you driving directions and more information about the artist and artwork.

While we were there the kids tried to stack rocks themselves.  They quickly realized that it is not as easy as it looks to stack them.  It made them appreciate this formation even more.  

The magic mountains are only about 30 minutes outside of Vegas and it is worth seeing. So if you are in this area, go take a look!
